SUDOVO HLAVNO – Can you smell it? It’s not just dust and freshly cut grass. It is the scent of sweat, hot steel, and adrenaline hanging over the list. On Saturday, August 29, 2026, the local football pitch in Sudovo Hlavno will transform into an arena unlike anything this region has ever seen. MFC Česká korouhev is hosting the first edition of the international medieval combat tournament (Buhurt) – The Suda Cup.
Where a Knight’s Head Fell
This tournament is more than just a sporting event. It is a return to roots and a tribute to the man whose name this land bears. Vladyka Suda was a honorable knight, a renowned tournament fighter, and the founder of this village. However, his life ended tragically – through betrayal and a cruel murder that cost him his head.
"We are returning to Suda's land to write a different story," say the organizers from MFC Česká korouhev. "Not a story of defeat and betrayal, but one of brotherhood and relentless strength. We want to honor the memory of our brother-in-arms the way he would have wanted – with the clashing of armor and honorable combat."
A Steel Storm: 5 vs 5
Forget staged theater or rehearsed choreography. Everything here is real. Full-contact force, authentic armor weighing dozens of kilograms, and elite teams pouring their hearts into every clash. Spectators will witness the royal discipline of buhurt – the Men’s 5 vs 5 format. It is a tactical battle where success is determined not only by raw power but by teamwork and the unbreakable will to be the last man standing.
The fairness and safety of the fights will be overseen by an international team of officials, led by Knight Marshal Tomáš Bachratý from Slovakia.
